Five questions to ask when re-acclimating to American culture

One of the biggest challenges for students once they return home from their overseas missions mentorship is re-acclimating to Western culture. Talking about their experience can be a challenging experience.

Here are some open-ended, insightful questions that will get to the heart of their time overseas:

•       What are the highs and lows from your time overseas?

•       What did God show you about Himself? Yourself?

•       What was frustrating for you?

•       What did you enjoy most?

•       What conclusions are you drawing about missions and your role?

Another great way to connect would be to invite the student to speak to a small group or Sunday school class. Some students really enjoy talking about their experience to large audiences.
