“Madison and I began learning about missions and “going” while attending Watkinsville First Baptist Church. Our pastor and this church body have a strong desire to go to the nations and share the Gospel. Through this church body, our small group, and a few studies we went through, we found ourselves interacting with people who were taking the Gospel to people all over the world.

We first learned about Cafe 1040 through our neighbors. One of our neighbors serves as a mobilizer for Cafe 1040 and we saw firsthand the passion for missions and unreached people groups that the people of Cafe 1040 possess. We found that passion extremely contagious! We began reading and praying about unreached people groups and attended a class called Perspectives on the World Christian Movement and quickly learned how desperate the need is for unreached people groups to hear the story of Jesus. As we heard more and more stories from students and staff about their experiences serving overseas, we felt like God was pulling us to be involved.

Cafe 1040 is a group of loving, passionate, obedient followers that are radically serving Christ. The testimonies of those they have led to Christ impacted us in a powerful way and we knew we had to get involved. We now consider it a true blessing to be a financial partner of Cafe 1040 and have loved giving to this amazing organization.
