Job Description Overview

As the Internal Communications Coordinator, you will work to coordinate and promote communication in, among, and between all teams in the ministry. You will assist the Director of Internal Communications in prioritizing and coordinating communication efforts across the ministry. Between communication strategies and content delivery, you will have the opportunity to create culture, influence moral, and lead the entire ministry toward success.  You will have a role in staff development, training, and culture initiatives.  While some ongoing systems will provide predictable work, there should be an expectation of adding value by managing projects, research, and execution of tasks in a fast-paced, dynamic team environment.


As a member of the Operations Team, a portion of your role may include assigned team responsibilities based on the overall capacity of the team.  These could include HR processes, IT systems, or finance tasks.



REQUIREMENTS:

Critical Qualities

  • Mature Christian faith and agreement with Cafe 1040’s statement of faith 

  • A passionate follower of Jesus Christ with a proven devotion to the habits necessary to maintain a daily relationship with him

  • Reflect personal and public integrity in line with Biblical principles

  • Possess a longing for the fulfillment of the Great Commission

  • Characterized by excellent communication skills, both written and verbal

  • Highly organized with a natural attention to detail

  • Possess a balance of thriving by serving people and processes

  • Analytical mind that thinks comprehensively about problems 

  • High-level drive for execution

  • Strong written and verbal communications skills

Specific Job Duties, Tasks, and Responsibilities

  • Manage ministry-wide communication efforts through semesterly calls, weekly emails, and any supplementary communication needed

  • Consult on and participate in various ministry-wide efforts such as prayer gatherings, prayer weeks, support raising weeks, year-end events etc.

  • Promote Cafe 1040’s cultural values of being a humble, hungry, resilient community

  • Consult on staff development, trainings, and cultural formation

  • Participate in planning and executing our Staff Conference every 3 years

  • Manage Operations Team responsibilities, systems, and processes as assigned based on team capacity.

  • Support and uphold the policies, values, and statement of faith of Cafe 1040

  • Maintain sustainable funding levels for role through Cafe 1040 support-raising model

  • Actively take the opportunities to mobilize those people in the scope of your influence toward involvement and investment in the mission and vision of Cafe 1040
