To echo what everyone else is feeling, 2020 was quite a year. It would be easy to only focus on the negativity, but we wanted to round up a few fun facts and celebrations from 2020!
This year, Cafe 1040 instituted weekly prayer meetings, a staff book club, and a virtual board game group.
We attended 46 mobilization events (virtual and in-person)
Our mentors and mobilizers have worked hard to keep our students supported through canceled semesters and deferments with bible studies, prayer nights, and book studies.
We hosted a brand-new event called The Virtual Missions Experience. This event allowed participants to spend four weeks learning about missions first-hand from our overseas mentors.
Every team at Cafe 1040 has started a monthly prayer/spiritual development day. We spend these days resting and in fellowship with the Lord.
We planned our biggest year-end campaign yet with our biggest donor match ever.
We quickly recognized the depth of the challenges 2020 was throwing at us and as such made an extra effort to be intentional with our prayers and decision making.
