JOB DESCRIPTION OVERVIEW
As a Student Mobilizer, your job will be to meet young adults who are interested in global missions and help them determine their best next steps towards active engagement with the Great Commission. You will cast the vision of Cafe 1040 to a variety of communities and individuals while promoting our overseas mentorship and encouraging students who are a good fit to apply. You will build long-term relationships with these students, functioning as a missions coach to help them grow in their understanding and engagement in missions. You will spend significant time networking and building relationships with various campus ministries, churches, and Missions Influencers, mostly focusing on your specific region. Additionally, you will attend mission conferences to meet missions-minded people and represent our ministry to a wider population. You will be expected to travel 10-25% of your time, depending on your region. You will also serve as the main point of contact for students who inquire about our program through our website or referrals. Essentially, you will function as a “missions coach” for students exploring next steps toward what God is calling them to do.
REQUIREMENTS
CRITICAL QUALITIES:
Mature orthodox Christian faith and agreement with statement of faith
A passionate follower of Jesus Christ with a proven devotion to the habits necessary to maintain daily relationship with him
Possess a longing for the fulfillment of the Great Commission
Self-initiative and ability to work independently
Outgoing personality and ability to meet new people and quickly establish relational rapport
Reflect personal and public integrity in line with Biblical principles
Patience and understanding for the unique characteristics of the millennial generation
SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
Knowledge of Global missions and current trends
Exceptional interpersonal communication skills, both verbal and listening
Proven ability to maturely communicate Biblical truth in small groups and individual mentoring
Understanding of God’s plan for the world as described in Scripture and a passion for teaching it to others
Sales or networking experience
Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a team environment
Ability to perform well under stress to meet deadlines
Quick-learning and self-teaching
Strong multi-tasking and problem-solving ability
Ability to perform well under stress to meet deadlines
English Speaking
Skill in MS Office Suite and Apple OS
