JOB DESCRIPTION OVERVIEW

The Partnership Team at Cafe 1040 exists to help churches and universities engage collectively in the Great Commission. As the Director of Partnerships, your job will be to lead Cafe 1040 to kingdom-minded collaboration primarily with churches and university partners. You will cast vision for partnership, develop deep partnerships with intentionally chosen churches and universities, resource those partners, and develop a team of Partner Advocates. Your team will work closely with the Mobilization Team, the Marketing Team, and the Development Team. Your job will be to develop and implement strategic ways to engage churches and universities by communicating clear vision, creating intentional strategy, establishing clear goals, growing a healthy team culture, and coaching team members to be dynamic contributors.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Mature Christian faith and agreement with Cafe 1040’s statement of faith

  • A passionate follower of Jesus Christ with a proven devotion to the habits necessary to maintain a daily relationship with him

  • Reflect personal and public integrity in line with Biblical principles

  • Possess a longing for the fulfillment of the Great Commission

  • Self-initiative and ability to work independently

  • Strong desire to recruit, build, lead, manage, and coach a team of people

  • Outgoing personality with ability to meet new people and quickly establish relational rapport

  • Understanding and love of young adults, as well as the ability to connect with people in every age group

  • Patience and understanding for the unique characteristics of the emerging generation

  • Strategic thinker, visionary, innovator, ability to envision and implement big picture ideas and strategy

  • Represent Cafe 1040 positively within the industry

Skills and Experience

  • Expert knowledge of global missions and current trends

  • Expert knowledge in the emerging generation

  • Proven ability to maturely communicate Biblical truth in large groups and individual settings

  • Effective team leadership skills with the ability to motivate, challenge, and hold team members accountable

  • Exceptional interpersonal communication skills, both verbal and listening

  • Understanding of God’s plan for the world as described in Scripture and a passion for teaching it to others

  • Sales or networking experience

  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a team environment

  • Quick-learning and self-teaching

  • Strong multi-tasking and problem-solving ability

  • Ability to perform well under stress to meet deadlines

  • Personally motivated, driven to succeed in a remote working environment

  • English speaking

  • Skill in MS Office Suite, Google Apps, Salesforce, and Apple OS

  • Bachelor’s degree required. Master’s degree or higher preferred.

SPECIFIC JOB DUTIES, TASKS, AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Cast vision for mobilization through strategic partnerships at Cafe 1040 and beyond

  • Direct Partnership Team goals, developing a strategy to achieve those goals, and holding team members accountable for reaching those goals

  • Work closely with the Director of Mobilization, the Director of Marketing, and the Director of Development to create a holistic approach to church and university partnerships

  • Create or oversee the creation of mobilization resources that benefit our partners

  • Establish, develop, and steward relationships with Missions Influencers (church pastors, campus pastors, university faculty) in order to present the mission and vision of Cafe 1040 and to assist them in engaging young adults and the unreached

  • Establish, lead, and oversee Partnership Team projects

  • Remain up-to-date on current missions and mobilization trends

  • Establish, approve, and manage budgets for the department and team members

  • Travel as needed within the U.S. (3-5 trips/year or more) as well as occasionally overseas (1-2 trips every 3 years)

  • Support and uphold the policies, values, and statement of faith of Cafe 1040

  • Maintain sustainable funding levels for the role through Cafe 1040 support-raising model

  • Actively take the opportunities to mobilize those people in the scope of your influence toward involvement and investment in the mission and vision of Cafe 1040

This is a support-based, ministerial position. Nothing in this job description restricts Cafe 1040’s right to assign or reassign duties and responsibilities to this job at any time. Responsibilities occasionally may require an adjusted work schedule and evening/weekend hours in order to meet deadlines.
