I graduated college just over 1 year ago having had an amazing experience growing in my relationship with God. Coming out of school, God had blessed me with a well-paying job that I thoroughly enjoyed.
I had a few friends that felt a call to go into missions, but I did not have that same feeling. I believe God has gifted me with the skills and interests to do well in a job on a computer at a desk, but that does not mean I have no role in missions. I felt my calling was giving and supporting my friends and others who are expanding the kingdom of God. I do not believe the money from my job is my own; it has been given by God, so I feel led to give it back.

This call to give is also not my own; I believe it is through faith which is a gift from God! Cafe 1040 was introduced to me by my discipler and friend in college. He went to Southeast Asia for a few months through Cafe 1040 and only had great things to say about what the organization was doing to spread the Gospel. I believe frontier missions, like what the apostle Paul strived to do, are of utmost importance to Christians, and Cafe 1040 focuses on them through sending and training young Christians for a life overseas.
