JOB DESCRIPTION OVERVIEW

As a motivator and decision maker within the ministry, you will perform a variety of tasks as you manage the strategy development and execution of the department heads that comprise the team—Information Technology, Human Resources, Finance, Legal, and Special Projects. The Operations Team is primarily tasked with ensuring excellent organizational operations to maintain healthy, sustainable growth. You will bring clear vision and oversight to these departments and ensure cohesion and alignment necessary to meet core objectives. You will also work as a member of the Executive Team to ensure that the mission and vision of Cafe 1040 are being realized.

REQUIREMENTS

CRITICAL QUALITIES:

  • Mature orthodox Christian faith and agreement with Cafe 1040's statement of faith
  • A passionate follower of Jesus Christ with a proven devotion to the habits necessary to maintain daily relationship with Him
  • Reflect personal and public integrity in line with Biblical principles
  • Possess a longing for the fulfillment of the Great Commission
  • Exceptional leadership abilities and a passion for leadership
  • Value for developing others and seeing them as individuals

 SPECIFIC JOB DUTIES, TASKS, AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Manage the day-to-day operation of the department heads that you oversee.
  • Delegate, organize, and manage the workload of the team members and monitor the team’s performance to achieve high –level execution and results
  • Primarily responsible for any hiring, promotion or firing
  • Disseminate information to the team and forward information in a timely manner
  • Facilitate team operations by identifying teamwork issues, recommending problem solving, standardizing team operations
  • Function as a team member and carry out duties and responsibilities assigned to the team as needed
  • Create opportunities for team member to provide input on procedures/processes and share their expertise with other team members
  • Serve as a resource and content expert to team members; providing them with guidance and being available to answer questions to clarify the work activities
  • Discover and develop new leadership and talent within the team and wider company
  • Meet one-on-one with team members at a minimum of every other week
  • Work to the best of your abilities to ensure that you are setting proper examples for team members to follow.
  • Support and uphold the policies, values, and statement of faith of Cafe 1040
  • Maintain sustainable funding levels for role through Cafe 1040 support-raising model
  • Actively take the opportunities to mobilize those people in the scope of your influence toward involvement and investment in the mission and vision of Cafe 1040

This is a support-based position. Nothing in this job description restricts Cafe 1040’s right to assign or reassign duties and responsibilities to this job at any time.  Responsibilities occasionally may require an adjusted work schedule, and evening/weekend hours in order to meet deadlines.
