Overseas Operations Manager


The Global Security Advisor will focus on global security considerations for the organization to include physical security, operational security, technical security, and personal safety.  They are responsible for monitoring and analyzing security vulnerabilities and threats to the organization and to the individual staff and student constituents by region.   They are also responsible for implementation of security training and other mitigation tactics to minimize the risk to the organization and individuals from the identified threats.  As an advisor to the Crisis Management Team, this position will work closely with Company Leadership and the Crisis Manager to develop and implement protocols for management of security incidents or breaches.

  • Focus primarily on security considerations for the organization
  • Make recommendations for the organization as a whole, or particular bases or staff members
  • Assessment of current security methods and instruction of those methods to students and staff
  • Report security audit findings
  • Develop internal security reporting and follow-up
  • Research new or more appropriate methods of security and monitor staff implementation of those methods
  • Make sure staff and students are acting in a secure manner
  • Maintain security intelligence networks (US & Global)
  • Stay as informed as possible in regard to potential security risks
  • Assist with development and implementation of the crisis management plan
  • Oversee pre-trip briefings for any staff or visitors traveling to overseas bases
  • Maintain a working knowledge of significant developments and trends in international security
  • Support and uphold the policies, values, and statement of faith of Cafe 1040
  • Maintain sustainable funding levels for role through Cafe 1040 support-raising model
  • Actively take the opportunities to mobilize those people in the scope of your influence toward involvement and investment in the mission and vision of Cafe 1040
